Who actually follows the "inside voices only" and "no running please" library rules anyway? Well I guess it was made apparant that I failed as a parent to teach my two year old about the rules of the library when Juliet saw her Great Grandma walking cane in hand, into the children's zone and screamed (yes, while running) "GEEEE-GEEEEE" at the top of her lungs.
We went to the Cheney library for story time and unfortunately, it was a complete bust (other than the amazing train set up they had going on). Although Juliet is the queen of story time in her home town in Louisiana, she was as shy as could be in the tiny Cheney library. She sat on my lap up in the back of the room until the end where she finally got up enough courage to walk up to the front for a stamp. She took the smallest steps, letting all the other stamp hungry kids go first. When she eventually made it to the front she started crying as soon as the librarian spoke to her. Poor girl. She never did get her stamp, but had fun collecting books for GG to hold and playing with the trains.
The "J" for Juliet on the story time play mat (where Juliet was supposed to sit). Not as comfy as Mommy's lap I guess.
