Wrap Up Wednesday

Wrapping up a snow-filled week.  And heads up before you delve into this blog, you may want to grab a drink and take a seat cause I took FAR too many photos.  We started off the week hiding out in a friends house with the newest (and most precious) member of the neighborhood ...

While the guys shoveled outside ...

Eventually we pried ourselves away from the baby and suited up to conquer the snow.

I think we win the best neighbors award.  I can't believe how we lucked out.  It's like living on base ... such a tight knit, fun community with loads of little ones.  One neighbor had a sled and one had a big scoop ... both of which have been at the kids disposal all week.

Meanwhile indoors, Juliet's still a coloring fool.  And her overly organized caboodle has sparked the interest of Violet (who is SO not allowed near it).  I've stopped her a number of times crawling onto the "non bench" chair that Juliet thought was safe, and helping herself to big sister's markers.  This time I instead grabbed the big camera.  Juliet was off in la-la land singing and dancing throughout the kitchen when Violet made her move.  Her sneakiness cracked me up.  I have NEVER seen her get up on a chair and pop the lid off a marker so quickly.

She worked swiftly at first ... frantically scribbling over every bit of carefully pre-colored paper she could before 'you know who' could notice.

But not without carefully scoping the joint out in between strokes ...

And making time to be creative ...

At one point Juliet did actually skip by ...

But she didn't seem to care.  Probably because the page Violet had taken over was actually mine and not Juliet's.  I would have never let her get away with her crayola hijack had it been Juliet's picture.  Not even for a photo op ... I'm not that mean.

And back to the snow that won't stop ... our culdesac has been flooded with little ones.

And Dads ...

Who can be really embarrassing at times ...

In addition to hauling ass in the 'big scoop' shovel and sled (as seen on the family blog from earlier this week), there was also some dog sledding thanks to our neighbor's dog Kodiak ... sweet thing.

The fun didn't stop there believe it or not.  We also had a neighborhood igloo and a cat mouth cave.  And I just want to say, I am totally impressed with the snow skills around here.  I'd be content with making a snow angel.

Best snow dress?  Oh I think so ...

Can't forget Juliet's fabulous snowman she wanted me to photograph ... can't stop laughing.

Can't see it?  Neither could I.

And besides these other few random snow photos ... that's a wrap!

And my favorites ... sometimes they are pretty sweet.

Sledding. New found fun.

With all the snow we've been getting, sledding has become Juliet and her sweet friend Abby's latest hobby.  And lucky for them, our neighbor has the perfect hill just their size.  They go down the hill together at lighting speed...

And walk back up (at a much slower pace) with their sled in tow.  One doing the pushing and one doing the pulling ...

Miss Holly helps with the 1, 2, 3 PUSH and they're off again ...

And like a couple of animals, they're right back up for another round ...

THEN unbeknownst to her, it was little sister's turn to join the fun.  First sled ever.  Ah ... picture perfect (just don't zoom in).

She had fun ... I'm pretty sure of it.  Wink, wink.

And the sweet lady who did the loading, 1,2,3ing and pushing with a baby (my baby) in her arms so I was able to take an obscene amount of photos in less that 7 minutes.  Love you Holly.  Violet on the other hand, might hold a grudge for a while.  And by a while, I mean 15 minutes.

Mobile Monday

Our past week in instagrams ... daytime baths, insane weather (that has yet to subside), Miss Fiona the fish, sweet sisters in the morning, a Target run that resulted in boxed wine, new pink snow bibs and a child that loves the Ergo far too much.

Wrap Up Wednesday

Wrapping up another week (my weeks end on Wednesday because it sounds so nice with "wrap up").  Since I like to keep the best for last, I'll start with some stair time-out photos ...

Although, time-out is sort of a joke at Violet's age (she spends most of her stair time dancing) it still gives the two sisters some much needed time separated.

We had a fabulous Valentine's Day.  Daddy showed up after work with roses for all his girls and he cooked dinner.  In uniform.  Yum.

He wasn't the only one doing some cooking.  Juliet helped make a quiche and did all the egg cracking.  With my assistance.

There were a few runaway shells ... some bigger than others.

But nothing we weren't able to dig out.  She did awesome.  PS ... as it seems, she doesn't approve of my kitchen singing.

Side note.  The static cling has been unreal this winter.  Every single day ...

Violet tried a new food.  Pickles.  Took some getting use to, but in the end they were a big hit.

Juliet and I went shopping solo for some new coloring books and markers.  And she picked out the most fabulous outfit for the occasion bringing her phone along in case Papa called.

And you better believe she spent the rest of the day coloring her little patootie off.

Meanwhile Violet's still eating ... and has been quite the little chip thief.

Turns out, she's also been known to steal a desk or two while looking much more important than the original owner ever did in it.

She also sported her first ponytail (we made her standard lil' tail into the real deal).

And because I hate to leave out the good stuff, a look back at some of this weeks sister rivalries ...

And last but not least, some of my favorites from the week.  The eyelashes in this house are ridiculous.  I'm super jealous.  These two are NEVER allowed to wear mascara.

And that's a wrap!  Looooove typing that part ... teehee.
