Wrapping up a snow-filled week. And heads up before you delve into this blog, you may want to grab a drink and take a seat cause I took FAR too many photos. We started off the week hiding out in a friends house with the newest (and most precious) member of the neighborhood ...

While the guys shoveled outside ...

Eventually we pried ourselves away from the baby and suited up to conquer the snow.

I think we win the best neighbors award. I can't believe how we lucked out. It's like living on base ... such a tight knit, fun community with loads of little ones. One neighbor had a sled and one had a big scoop ... both of which have been at the kids disposal all week.

Meanwhile indoors, Juliet's still a coloring fool. And her overly organized caboodle has sparked the interest of Violet (who is SO not allowed near it). I've stopped her a number of times crawling onto the "non bench" chair that Juliet thought was safe, and helping herself to big sister's markers. This time I instead grabbed the big camera. Juliet was off in la-la land singing and dancing throughout the kitchen when Violet made her move. Her sneakiness cracked me up. I have NEVER seen her get up on a chair and pop the lid off a marker so quickly.

She worked swiftly at first ... frantically scribbling over every bit of carefully pre-colored paper she could before 'you know who' could notice.

But not without carefully scoping the joint out in between strokes ...

And making time to be creative ...

At one point Juliet did actually skip by ...

But she didn't seem to care. Probably because the page Violet had taken over was actually mine and not Juliet's. I would have never let her get away with her crayola hijack had it been Juliet's picture. Not even for a photo op ... I'm not that mean.
And back to the snow that won't stop ... our culdesac has been flooded with little ones.

And Dads ...

Who can be really embarrassing at times ...

In addition to hauling ass in the 'big scoop' shovel and sled (as seen on the family blog from earlier this week), there was also some dog sledding thanks to our neighbor's dog Kodiak ... sweet thing.

The fun didn't stop there believe it or not. We also had a neighborhood igloo and a cat mouth cave. And I just want to say, I am totally impressed with the snow skills around here. I'd be content with making a snow angel.

Best snow dress? Oh I think so ...

Can't forget Juliet's fabulous snowman she wanted me to photograph ... can't stop laughing.

Can't see it? Neither could I.

And besides these other few random snow photos ... that's a wrap!

And my favorites ... sometimes they are pretty sweet.
