Serious About Pasta

This girl is serious about her pasta.  Three helpings later of her Aunt Peggy's spaghetti and a wipe of her mouth, she finally decided she was full.

Double The Trouble

Caught the girls when they were being sweet to each other on GG's couch while watching a movie.  No one was crying and no one was telling me "no no NO pitures pees" so needless to say, my Canon and I worked very fast.

So thankful for this sweet, healthy girl.

GG's Girls

Great Grandma and her girls.  Despite Juliet's grumpy face in these photos, she loves sitting in her GG's lap and snuggling ... just not being in front of the camera much these days.  Humm I wonder why that is?

Monkeys On The Bed

Two monkeys made their way into my bed last night.  It's a shame too when they each have their own adorable cribs that their GG so nicely had set up for them.  What can you do ...

They played and played and looked at pictures of Great Grandpa and played some more until eventually, they both wore themselves out.  Sleep tight!

We're Back!

We're back for a week at GG's house.  We made it through the long drive without a meltdown from either girls.  Violet slept almost the entire way missing the rain, snow and sunshine and Juliet read and sang to herself most of the way.  Juliet was so excited to be back at her Great Grandma's that she ran right in the house to find her favorite Fisher Price toy barn that has been in the family for years.  Hopefully we will see some snow this week so Juliet can make some snow angles, but right now it's perfect movie watching and cuddling with GG weather and that is perfectly fine.

Thanksgiving (take two); The Food

Oh turkey.  I love you.  My Mom tried something new this year and it was amazing!  She roasted the turkey in a cheese cloth and for half the cook time she had bacon draped over the top.  It was perfect.  She made her traditional stuffing (my grandmother's recipe) along with sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes and cranberries.  My Dad made his wonderful slow cooked gravy and my sister baked some ADORABLE cupcakes with corn, mashed potatoes and turkey toppings along with a pumpkin pie.  Between all that and the bottomless glass of champagne I am stuffed.  Violet (poor girl) was teething so bad, that after chewing on her thumb for an hour fell fast asleep in her swing and slept all through dinner.  Juliet had a hard time waiting for the turkey to cook and snacked the entire day.  By the time dinner was ready all she had an appetite for was the bread; typical.

Thanksgiving (take one); Dancing

Juliet apparently felt like a fairy princess in her holiday dress today, because she would not stop dancing in the kitchen while we were cooking.  She twirled and twirled ... went to check on the turkey in the oven .... and then went right on back twirling (with some jumping here and there).  All of course to her new favorite songs, "red nose" and "jindle bells".  Ugh.  I really don't mind if I never hear those two songs again.  She did look pretty darn cute though.  I need to get her in dresses more often.
