Under most circumstances Juliet doesn't lack in the outgoing department, but when she is out of her element, she is one shy little pumpkin. We saw the head-buried-in-hands move a couple of times at the pumpkin patch today. She was so interested in the different posters around the patch that you could stick your head in for a picture. She waited in line, even telling me "it not my turn yet Mommy". Once she got up there and Nana was ready to snap a picture, what did she do? Her signature move; poor kid.
Thankfully after some time exploring she FINALLY let go of my hand and walked far enough away where I could take her picture (silly me; I only brought my zoom lens thinking she would be running around like a maniac).
She couldn't get enough of the roasted corn but stopped eating it dead in her tracks as soon as a stranger told her how cute her hat was; hello meltdown number two.
As it seems to be a regular thing these days, she started to loosen up and enjoying herself just as it was time to leave (Violet was SO over the whole pumpkin patch thing).
Let's hope my little shy pumpkin is just going through a phase, but this unfortunately is the sassy little expression I'm getting very used to seeing
and photographing.
