Today was a sad day. It rained, but not enough to produce jumpable puddles by Juliet's standards. BUT that didn't stop her from searching for 15 minutes as I tried to lure her to the car to start our day of errands. She kept saying "nope, not biggie nuff" and then she'd be on the hunt for more puddles. Finally after some frustrated tears, she decided jumping over cracks on the way to the car was satisfying enough {keep in mind the car is only about 20 feet from the bottom of the stairs}. At least some cute photos came from it all. Crazy kid.

Duck Pond With Beckett
An unusually large collection of photos from our play date at the duck pond yesterday afternoon with Mr. B and his lovely Mama {whom we've been missing like crazy}. The swings were a big hit {although not many of the pictures illustrate it} but most of the entertainment was watching Juliet eventually open up and even hearing her at one point introduce herself to another little girl; talk about cute. BUT the highlight of the afternoon for me was being asked by a 12 year old if I really had two kids and then if I was married and then kindly letting me know I looked much too young for two kids and a husband {imagine this all of course with a thick southern accent}. Haha ... if only she knew that she didn't just make my day by saying this, but my year!
While Juliet played the "little kids" took a break from being pushed and carried around {such a hard life} by watching and sharing snacks.
And of course last but not least, MY personal favorite of Juliet soon after showing up at the park; shy girl.

Sci-Port
Shreveport Sci-Port was a success. We meet a friend to initially check out the Bodies Revealed exhibit, but unsurprisinly it wasn't exactly Juliet's idea of a good time. So after eating the bun of her hot dog and doing a giant body puzzle, we set off to the space room and to see an IMAX. Note to self; when you're as exhausted as Chris and I were by the end of our science center "adventure", don't ever make the kids area your last stop. We're such amateurs sometimes. We had to bribe Juliet to get her to leave with ice cream that luckily she completely forgot about by the time we got home. Oh we're so bad.
Chris and Finch were playing with a rocket ... much TOO loud for little Miss Juliet.
Life Under The Sea IMAX ... oddly enough, narrated by the one and only Jim Carrey. Both girls passed out about 15 minutes in.
Finch was such a trooper, helping with the heavy lifting, induring minor meltdowns and food breaks and even getting puked on at one point. I'm sure he'll jump at the chance to spend his next day off with our crew :)
Sci-Port ... we will be back before we move. A play date is in order.
