Wrap Up Wednesday

Wrapping up another week.  Nothing much to report (other than Juliet's rad princess party which is already up on the family blog).  The girls spent a lot of time out in the backyard.  Dancing around ...

And playing in the pool ...

We went miniature golfing with Uncle Gabe and Aunt Maria who drove in from Chicago for the weekend.  The girls had so much fun with them ... as seen on the family blog.  PS sorry for all the links.  Super nerdy I know.

And look out!  I got in the frame for once (thanks to Chris).  Sigh.  Those legs need to see more daylight.

And you know.  Golfing.  This sometimes happens right?

And lastly, some interesting moments brought to you by Juliet.  Hate to disappoint, but not all her dancing pictures are whimsical and dreamy ...

That's a wrap!

A Visit From Chicago

The only hard thing about having family visit, is when they leave and the house feels sorta empty again.  The time always flies by way too fast.  Don't think the girls know how lucky they are to have their Aunt and Uncle live within driving distance ... they had so much fun this weekend.

Oh Violet ...

Love you guys!  Thanks again for making the drive.  These kids adore you.

Mobile Monday

Our past week in instagrams ... a quote (that I couldn't have written better myself), fun times during a tornado warning in the storm shelter, beautiful sunset the following evening, ice cream cones, and loads of time spent chalking outdoors.

More chalking, girls movie and popcorn night (Daddy was flying), Aunt Maria and Uncle Gabe visit from Chicago, family mini golf, car rides, walking downtown with Aunt Maria, and Juliet sleeping soundly minutes before her birthday party guest arrive (in the adorable dress/matching Merida doll Aunt Maria and Uncle Gabe brought her).

Party time (happy fourth birthday Juliet), posing with her pretty hair Aunt Maria curled for her, cruisin' on her new big girl bike and lastly lounging while watching the girls swim (it's a hard job but someones got to do it).

Princess Party

Since we didn't have one last year, we decided to throw Juliet a very low key, nothing fancy, small party.  Juliet picked the theme (princess), the location (our backyard ... thank you weather), the dessert (cookies), the color scheme (ummm, pink) and the guests.

A few friends stayed a little late so were in on the fun of opening presents.

Thank you to all that came, everyone who let me borrow party supplies last minute (jumpy castles included) and of course thank you for all the fabulous gifts.  This is one loved little four year old.

Wrap Up Wednesday

Wrapping up another week, starting with possibly one of my favorite images of Violet ... buying some alone time on Mama's bed before her nap.

The day before this photo was taken, I'd managed to tie her hair up in two tight little buns.  They were adorable.  How I got away with it, I'll never know.

So when I took them completely out the next day, I had to get a photo.  Those curls!

We spent the day before Juliet's birthday celebrating at the zoo with some friends ...

Who for whatever reason, were all absolutely fascinated by the snakes.  Yuk.

Well, not everyone was impressed.

There were a few iPad rivalries ...

And lots of time spent in the pool.

Along with epic throwdown faces ... courtesy of Violet.

Ok last one.  Chunky lil' buns.

That's a wrap!

Bugs!

Alert the newspaper!  Juliet picked up, held and even chatted it up with BUG after bug this afternoon.  A blog worthy occation for sure.  Rollie pollies have officially made the cute, harmless bug cut for this princess.

Violet was extremely impressed by Juliet's bravery ...

Now I'll admit I've never been a huge fan of creepy crawlies but as long as she sticks to potato bugs and worms, I'm a-ok and happy to photography her (or the two of them) in action.
