I'm feeling all sorts of on top of it this Wednesday because I've for once got everything watermarked and uploaded into flickr mid day, giving me plenty of time to write this short novel for your enjoyment. Whoop, whoop! Naptime is reborn now that it's no longer snowing and we're spending so much time outdoors. These girls are worn out. Just the way I like them. With that being said, I'll probably still be up until midnight ... but doing more important things like folding laundry, drinking wine and watching Teen Mom. Keeping up with this "wrap up" weekly has been a little difficult, but having the opportunity to blog and share the lost photos that don't make it on the project blog, has been really rewarding. I have an awful memory. I never kept log books or baby books to keep track of when Juliet and Violet passed each milestone. My record keeping IS photographs. Lots of them. Eventually I want to get my blogs printed out into albums ... but it's expensive. Especially the mammoth one I'm going to have to order. But it's on my to do. I never ever thought I'd be a blogger. I started when Chris deployed the first time to keep him up to date on day to day happenings (Juliet was only 2 months old) and a lot of that was through pictures and videos via Facebook & Blogger. When I was pregnant with Violet and on bedrest for-EVER, I got really into photography. Chris deployed again when Violet was 2 weeks old. I packed up the girls and went home to Seattle and started up blogging again for him. And for me a little too ... I can't lie. When Chris came home and the four of us settled back in Louisiana, both sides of the family (who the girls and I had be living with/near for the past 6 months) wanted to know if I'd keep the blog up to keep them informed on day to day life. So I did. Happily. Since photography had become such a big part of my life, the blogging became not only about the list of things we did that day but about the photographs and the stories they told. To be real, writing stresses me out. I write like I talk. Exactly like I talk. It's not always a good thing. I jump around a lot, misspell every other word, use (...) at completely inappropriate times and run on sentences like no ones business. I can't tell you how many times I've called up my Mom (who's an editor) to have her help me reword a sentence that I managed to butcher. So, I like to keep it simple. Less is more (but do me a favor and don't use THIS blog entry as an example). Photos became a way to hide from writing about my not so interesting life. Telling the story of a photograph was much easier. Now almost 2 years later, I'm not sure I could ever stop blogging (whether anyone followed or not). It's almost therapeutic. Although you better believe I'll always use the JVFC as my "why I blog" excuse. SO blogging is not a way to show off or be obnoxious. It's not a way to flaunt my absurdly documented life (that my kids may very well hate me for later) with the intentions of appearing to be perfect and have it all figured out, because I assure you I do not. The fact that I take a lot of photos and have been blessed with the time and equipment (thanks family) to do so, does not make me a supermom. I'll let you in on a little secret ... when your focus is put more stongly on certain things, there's always something else that suffers as a result. Somethings got to give. I promise I don't think my life is so fabulous that it simply must be shared and heard about world wide, but that my blogs are a way to keep family informed, keep my memory in tact and to share the ups, downs and joys of parenthood (which excuse me, NO ONE told me would be this hard) and of course to celebrate photography. So, thank you to everyone who reads any of my three (ridiculous I know) blogs. Your photo support means a lot to me. Now, on to this weeks pictures ... starting with dandelions.

Juliet could blow these things all day. Violet on the other hand could care less.

And after dandilions, there was some twirling ...

Juliet got ready for her last day of preschool. She filled out thank you/graduation cards ... serious business I tell ya.

She of course had to pose with her teacher's cards & presents for her standard front porch picture (sister joined in too). Can't believe the school year is already at an end.

And I couldn't resist getting some buddy pictures at school ...

The girls enjoyed their first shower together. It went on far too long. I told them they could get out when the water got cold (which if I'm showering, it does without fail 8 minutes in) ... yea, it never went cold. Naked baby meltdown. Times two.

Mother's Day was spent hanging by the lake with this crew ...

And Chris (SO cute) with the flower Juliet picked him. That purple blossom is in there somewhere. Cracked us up.

We had some sweet friends visit ...

And lastly, a butt load of pool pictures. It's been high 80s for the past couple days so we broke out the kiddy pool. First time of the season. And we've been basically living outside ever since ... our Betta fish included. Juliet figured she (the fish ... who's actually a male) would want to watch her swim for a change.

Some had more fun than others ...

But perhaps it was the suit? Violet was much more pool friendly in the nude. Why am I not surprised? Our poor neighbors ...

That's a wrap! Until the 22nd ... and I'll try to keep it short next time.
