Wrap Up Wednesday

Wrapping up another week in photos that weren't (or were they ...?) featured on the project blog.
We got special visits with the sweetest baby ever.  We missed our baby Charlotte while she was on vacation ... Juliet especially.

Aside from smooching babies, we spent a ton of time outside since FINALLY winter seems to be over.

And yes, Violet's hair always looks like this ... unfortunately.

It's been SO windy that Juliet expended no energy blowing bubbles ...

And thanks to the wind we were also able to fly kites with our neighbor Miss Abby.  Juliet's first time ever.  She did great although after a few dives in the lake, her fairy kite is done for.

Violet had fun watching and surprisingly didn't get close lined once ...

But it's Violet.  She didn't come away uninjured.  She somehow managed to skin both knees in the process of watching ...

And lastly, some park photos.  Man I really hope this weather keeps up.

Until next week.  That's a wrap!

Mobile Monday

Our past week in instagrams ... Chris shaving his mustache, Juliet with her treats for the Easter bunny, Easter Sunday morning (back of my camera), a dishwasher full of wine glasses (proof of a great Easter dinner with friends), crazy Snow White face, outside fun, a calorie free burger, quotes, new fans welcome to the photo fb page, Juliet's school photos, new hard drive (woo-hoo), baking and coloring ...

And ... goofy faces with big sister, Juliet posing before school (while Violet photobombs), new glitter chalk, blizzard bliss, playing outside in the gorgeous weather and napping.

Preschool Class Pictures

Got Juliet's preschool class photos back last week and I about melted into a puddle.  I can't believe how much she's grown and how her ultra shyness has sorta fallen by the wayside since attending school (being put on the spot was never her thing ... last time she had her photos done at school I had to prep her weeks in advance to avoid any camera-shy meltdown).  Although I have just short of one billion photos of this child, I'm still such a sucker for these class pictures.  There's just something about them ... maybe the fact that I didn't take them.  Seeing her so precisely posed with props tickles me because I rarely do it myself when photographing her.  I'm also a little shocked at how natural her smile is; kudos to the photographer.  How I'd love to have been a fly on the wall during her "session".  I can't help but wonder how they got to her pose just so and what it is they made her say into the camera ... and if she actually said it.  Such a cutie.  Sorry for the quality.  They're just snapshots taken with my phone of the originals.

And her sweet little class along with the wonderful Miss Sonny & Miss Ann.  How they keep their patience with all these little ones, I'll never know.

And a picture I took of her before she headed to school that day.  She promise BIG smiles for the photographer at school.  She delivered!  Sweet girl.  Also I'm SO glad her hair held up.  Phew.

For The Love Of Kisses

Kisses were being shared left and right yesterday afternoon.

After getting the fist photo, I got greedy and tried to get an action shot.

And after failing misserably, I tried again.  Take two ...

Haha, ah well.  You can't win them all.  I was there to actually witness the sweetness first hand so that's really all that matters.

Wrap Up Wednesday

Wrapping up another week in photos starting with Easter ...

Turns out arranged Easter egg hunts (like the one at Church this year) are not fun if you're the shy type.  And in my opinion the word "hunt" should be used very loosely.  More like 200 plastic eggs thrown into an open field where the kids are then cut loose (after a countdown which I thought was a little weird) to fend for themselves and gather the most eggs they can before getting mauled by the other egg thirsty kids.  Long story short, Juliet left in tears (thankfully bruise free) ... broken hearted with two measly eggs.  Violet walked away with smiles (because she had absolutely no clue what was going on) and an empty basket.  Our hunt at home earlier in the morning however was very successful.

And can't forget those gifts from the Grandfolks.

Cinnamon rolls were on the menu for breakfast ... can't remember the last time I'd had one or put a flower on my plate for that matter (just for the photo).  Yum.

We also had a fab Easter dinner with friends.  I even set off the smoke detector!  Never a dull moment.  Not sure anyone is in focus in this picture but I assure you they're all ridiculously cute.

Inevitably, Mustache March came to an end.  We did some family pics before the shaving ceremony ...

And yes, I felt it very necessary to watermark this next gem.  Don't want any fauxographer stealing this piece of art.  Love this man.  I can't stop laughing ...

And that was the last of the stache.  All three of us followed Chris upstairs like some sort of funeral procession to watch him shave it off.

We also went to Disney On Ice in the city with my sweet girlfriend and her little girl.  It was a little chaotic seeing as we were out numbered, but it wasn't anything we couldn't handle.  Although I napped in the afternoon two days following this outing.  Exhausting.

Now.  We also had a few boring days.  Just reading ...

And playing games on the iPad ...

And lastly, a few of Juliet teaching Violet to play "hock-scotch".  The weather has been surprisingly pleasant all week.

And ... that's a wrap!

Mobile Monday

Our past week in instagrams ... yet more snow, naps with Juliet, Target's new fancy add (yes I photography EVERYTHING) baths, Snow White, poor sweet sick Juliet, more baths, happy thoughts and a perfectly lovely family photo (minus Chris).

Also ... Disney On Ice (surprised Juliet with tickets the morning of), the girls at the show and out to lunch afterwards, Daddy shaving his mustache, Juliet getting snacks for the Easter bunny ready, back of my camera shot of the girls on their hunt for Easter eggs and .... my pretty spring flowers.
