Our second Mardi Gras parade in two weeks. Juliet new exactly what to do this time, since she's had recent experience catching beads. She put out her hands like the rest of the crowd and even got an advantage over those other suckers at one point while on Chris's shoulders. She tapped her little toes to the beat of the music and stop traffic; she even SHARED her stuffed animal prize with Violet.
All in all it was a much better experience then last weekends parade. And I remembered my memory card this time {way to go Lizzie}. This time I left with a card full of pics, a hunk of a husband {isn't he darling?}, a toddler with new set of completely free jewelery and a happy baby who didn't seem to mind the chaos one bit.
Keeping family and friends up to date on the happenings of our crazy crew.

Girls, Girls, Girls
Some shots of the girls playing in front of our mirror this morning {one that has yet to make it up on the wall}.
On The Move?
Looks like our little bruiser is ready to go. For the past month she's been up on all fours, rocking back and forth and even up on her toes at times {her version of baby yoga} but only in the past couple days has she been able to sit up from the crawling position and started moving one hand in front of the other. I keep thinking I'll miss it altogether while doing something else {dressing Juliet, laundry, Facebooking, you name it} because she's so close. I was all over Juliet when she was this age, desperately wanting her to crawl. Violet on the other hand, I desperately do NOT want to crawl. She is going to be trouble and I'm no where near ready. To think, Juliet didn't crawl till she was about ten months and Vi just turned seven. Yikes.

Auntie and Uncles {oldies but goodies}
I dug up some old pictures that I had skipped while picking out my favorites for blogging this past December. This group I never had taken the time to really go through; there were a couple heart melters. I loved watching these sweet little moments when the girls spent time with their Aunt and two Uncles. Looking back at these photos makes me miss them all so much. It was so nice to be surrounded by family. Sigh. Anyway, I apologize that some are blurry and not the best quality but here are a few I hadn't blogged ...

Buggy Sisters
I love going out with these two. They tend to draw a lot of attention with the 50 and over crowd on base at the commissary. I just cannot get over how big they both look in this photo. Violet is very comfortable in the buggy these days.

Happy Seven Months
Has it been seven months already?? It's far too early to be suffering from baby fever. It IS. Juliet unknowingly helped formulate the idea for the following pictures when she was collecting her foam numbers to count up how many months baby sissy was old. We just so happened to be missing the number seven so we thought {and by "we" I mean me} why not sit baby Vi in as the seven? Violet was obedient for all of 40 seconds; just long enough to get these couple shots.
But as we know, nothing good lasts long ... she realized there were more "toys" within arms reach.

What is there really to do but embrace it?
The favorite ... got her to look back at me with a LOT of noise. Such cute little biscuits.
