Beautiful Outside; Beautiful Inside

While eating dinner with the fam, my Dad pointed out the gorgeous sunset. Big surprise, I ran to get my camera and took a couple shots from my parent's deck. When I turned around to walk back inside, this is what I saw (second photo). My parents playing at the kitchen table with the girls. It's such a real and silly photo; I love it. It could possibly go up on the wall at some point! Well, maybe after I edit out Violet's spit up.

A Ninety Three Year Age Difference

Violet met her GG (Great Grandma) for the very first time today. Hard to believe there is a ninety three year age difference between the two of them. I could have watched Yvonne hold and adore her Great Granddaughter all day long; it was too sweet. The JFC has officially been changed to the JVFC and Juliet seems happy to share the attention ... she can get into more mischief this way.

Quick, Let's Play While Sissy's Still Sleeping!

Taking pictures with a backwards camera and a toddler hanging off me like a monkey ... well, it explains why they're a little blurry; much like my life lately.

Playmat

Papa put out a fun, colorful and more importantly, soft playmat in the living room for the girls to play/lay on. It made tummy time much more comfortable and Violet actually seemed to enjoy herself.

Ice Cream Anyone?

When Juliet asked so sweetly for a pink ice cream cone at the zoo, I just couldn't say no. It was hot out (hot for Seattle) and she had been such a good girl all day. I was slightly horrified when they handed her a ridiculously mammoth cone that she could barely see around. I immediately went into insecure parent mode; I swore I could feel the eyes of all judgmental, zoo happy mommies burning in the back of my head as my 23 pound, 2 year old skipped off beaming with an ice cream cone as big as her face in her tiny grasp. Keep in mind that my insecurities didn't stop me in the least from quickly changing lenses and knelling down to get the perfect shot of her devouring it. Luckily I didn't have to deal with a sugar high toddler later that day because she ate about two bites and decided she didn't like it. My sister and I eagerly helped her finish it WHICH if anyone asks, was our plan all along.

Grouchy

It took a while for Juliet to perfect her pouty face, but her little sister Violet has got it down at just five weeks old. I attempted to get some one month photos of Vi while sleeping in some cute, cuddly pose but failed miserably after unintentionally waking her up. I guess I should stick to what I THINK I know and unfortunately, I don't think that is going to be infant photography. Unless of course there are parents out there who are desperate to have a 18X18 canvas of their grouchy baby hanging above the couch in their living room ... in that case, I'm your girl!

Sailing Away

Frustrated that the choo choo train ended and went on it's way without her, Juliet pouted; BIG time. That was until she saw the "tool" (aka cool) sailboats go by.
